Hi just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with critical illness cover paying out for a borderline ovarian tumour with removal of an ovary and tube … don’t know if it’s worth me bothering to put a claim in or not ? Thankyou xx

I'm sorry you haven't heard back from anyone just yet Dannii but hopefully my reply will allow our members to see your post again if they missed it the first time you posted.
Our website says that borderline ovarian tumours are not cancer but for further information and advice about your potential claim it would be best to get in touch with Macmillan as they have a team of financial advisers you can discuss this with in more detail.
l hope this helps and that you hear back from some of our members soon.

I have two CI covers - one with Scottish Widows which pays out for oophorectomy for borderline ovarian tumour.
the other is Aviva and they don’t include borderline tumours in their cover. I’d also be interested in this as I have stage 2b BOT and require hysterectomy and double salpingo oophorectomy - for such a big procedure which was the recommendation from a gynaecological oncologist it does not seem right to not be covered.
