I know there is insurance but hard to come by and I havent looked into as yet. However I think I may have seen a link on the Macmillian website if I remember rightly.
Welcome to the forum K although I'm sorry to hear about your partner's mum. This must be a very tough time for all of you.
I hope the travelling with cancer section of our site will enable you and your partner to get some travel insurance in place but as fffcancer has mentioned, Macmillan are quite knowledgeable in this field and I hope the guidance they have on getting travel insurance will help as well. If you have any questions, they have a helpline you can call for further information and advice.
Our members know how difficult it can be to get insurance when cancer is involved so I'm sure more of them will offer their recommendations to you soon.
Kind regards,

Hi,
I am very sorry to hear about your mother in law's diagnosis and unfortunately I am in a similar position with my mum. We were told to start her bucket list and the main thing is a cruise to Norway to see the northern lights. We initially had trouble finding an insurance company, but we managed once we had a confirmation of her primary cancer location with All Clear travel insurance. We had to phone them and it costs 2000GBP but again, it was something we had to do.
Hope this helps.
Thank you all for taking the time to reply, really appreciated.
[@polly59] So sorry to hear about your mum and that your are in a similar position. Glad to hear you were able to find insurance and hope that your mum enjoyed the trip if you have already been. Thank you so much for the info, we will give All Clear a call tomorrow and see what they say.
Take care,
Kitty
