Diagnosed with Breast Ca at 38, pls be aware of this symptom

I wanted to do this post to tell my story and hopefully  raise awareness on a symptom I had but wasn't listed ( that I could see anyway)

A bit about me,I  am 38, married and  I have two sons 10 and 13. Live in Devon and enjoy a calm family life

I'm heathy, I don't drink, I don't smoke, I excercise, and don't have any breast cancer in the family.

I check my boobs regular as my sons school teacher was diagnosed young and told me how important it was no matter your age to check them. I can never thank her enough for that advice.

I noticed a small lump on the top of my breast in August this year,  it was small  the size of a pea it seemed to just appear. It had some hardness around it no pain at all I thought fatty tissue and a cyst, Or due to my hormones as I had just stopped contraception 6 months prior.

I couldn't feel it lied down but I could sat up. So at the beginning of October, (I still didn't think for one second it would be breast cancer). My lump was more prominent but still small but it seemed bigger. I found that I could feel it better when I had a thin top on and no bra.

The main reason for this post is to say that I had a burning feeling under my skin above my breast! where my muscle was, I put this down to a pulled muscle, this actually got worse. I also had discharge from my nipple but I had to really squeeze it , again I thought hormones ( I know nipple discharge is listed).

I realise that everyone's symptoms are completely different but the burning sensation was not on the symptoms list that I saw if it was I would of gone to see the Gp straight away.

After my lumpectomy I was shocked that the burning had gone, so I do believe it was related to my tumour and Mass.

I am still very much on my journey I was diagnosed with   IDC and DSIC, Early stages I have since had a lumpectomy and am waiting my Oncotype DX score to see my treatment plan as my tumour is grade 3.

If you have a burning please go and get it checked out.

All the best xx
