Suitable trousers when having bowel problems?

I am having difficulty supporting my trousers. Braces worked well but have to be removed  to visit toilet and I  have issues with back passage and have to go quickly. could tighten belt but worried in case this causes problems. Am currently investigating trousers with elasticated waists. Has anyone any other thoughts ? who makes suitable trousers etc.

I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with some health problems and the impact that it's having on simple things in your daily life such as clothing.

It's good to hear that wearing braces has helped to some degree and I think you're right to avoid wearing a belt tighter around your waist. Any kind of tight restriction probably won't help. You've mentioned elasticated waists and I wonder if something comfortable and relaxed like jogging bottoms might be something to try, even if you only wear them round the house. They should be fairly easy to get off if you need to make a quick trip to the bathroom.

Hopefully, if we've any gents here on the forum who have had similar issues, they'll post to share their tips and recommendations! I do hope that you're able to find a solution that works for you.

    Best wishes,
