I have no details other than it is 11mm solid nodule. It was discovered 1 week ago on a lung screening CT scan. Since then I have had a lung functioning test, PET scan and due for ECG on Tuesday. I too am scared and deep down feel the worst, as the additional tests are used to determine fitness for surgery. It makes me think that they think it is cancerous. My husband has also been diagnosed with a 7mm nodule they have told him he will get another CT scan in 3 months. Just as you I am very scared and I fear the worst. All we can all do is try and prepare for bad news but pray for good. Results, I am told are with the consultant within a couple of days.
Have you had more than 1 CT scan?

Yes like your husband it is my repeat scan, three months later.
They do a pet scan when things look suspicious they usually know they’re is activity within the lump, not good prognosis.
I am absolutely living in fear of what lies ahead, so sorry you and your husband are going through the same horror together, must be so hard for both of you, please keep up with your progress lm thinking about you both
Hi Tara, yes and thanks for the kind words, It seems that you and I are at the same point. I am hoping that if the PET scan does show cancer that if surgery is the plan that it is VATS but there I go again jumping ahead. Have you any other appointments for additional tests to access your fitness for surgery?
hi i have a nodule on my lung next to my heart it was 15mm last june had a scan 2weekss ago has went down to 11mm have to get another scan in 6months does this mean i dont have to wrry as it has got smaller
I'm glad to hear your latest scan has shown that the nodule has got smaller. This must have been lovely news to receive.
