Newly diagnosed

I had a squamous  cell carcinoma removed from my scalp  3 weeks ago. I gathher it is invasive and moderately differentiated  which in layman's language means Stage 2. 

is there anyone who had had a similar cancer who can tell me what happens next. I have not had any histology results from the  surgery or even contact with the surgeon.

    I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had an SCC removed from your scalp. I hope that things are healing and that you're recovering well. 

    Until your Consultant has the results from the histology it's difficult to say what the next steps may be. You might want to consider giving our team of nurses a call to chat things through ahead of your appointment with the Consultant. I'm sure they will be able to give you some information and help you think about any points you may want to raise with the specialist.
