Hello,
I've had phesgo 4 times, depending on surgery outcome I may be having another 14 I think. The first injection site was sore during the injection. For the following injections I was told to use Emla cream and to have the injection on the side of my thigh (where there's more fat) and the following 3 have not been painful at all. I haven't noticed any side effects so far. Wishing you all The best with your treatment x
That's good that you've had ni side effects because its a long time to have the injection I've got to have it 13 times I've had 5 already but with chemo I had ad side effects but i hoping that was all the different chemotherapys and the herceptin will be ok people are saying on its own its ok
I just finished my chemo 2-3 weeks ago and any side effects I had seem to all be resolving themselves. Same as you people have told me that Phesgo seems to be okay side effects wise
Have you had the phesgo on its own
I had 3 doses of Phesgo alongside chemo (Docetaxel) and 2 doses solo before surgery. I had horrendous side effects with the first two doses but my chemo nurse and oncologist assured me it would be the docetaxel causing them. It seems they were right, thankfully!! I had no side effects from the solo doses at all.
Just to clarify though Phesgo is a combination injection, not Herceptin on its own. Which is what I am now having post op, had my first today - 11 more to go!!
I had 5 along side Docetaxel before surgery and same had an horrendous time .I've now got to have another 13 post op but just the phesgo I was hoping that there wasn't any side effects are very little am very nervous of it but I'm hearing that its not half as bad as chemo so fingers crossed hope all goes well for you please keep me posted on how you get on
