Multiple Myeloma in a parent

Hi there,

My mum (68) got diagnosed with MM a couple of years ago. She's already had a course of chemo in 2020 at the start of COVID which made 2020 and 2021 the scariest years ever, and she's still in remission thank God.

We were basically informed that the cancer WILL return but its anyone's guess as to when. How do you deal with being in this sort of limbo???

  • Welcome to the forum Stressedtoimpress although I'm sorry for the reason you're joining us.

The question you ask is one that has been asked many times before so I hope it helps to know this is quite common and as many of our members have found out, also quite tough, but now that I've replied I'm sure some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice.

    If you'd like to speak with our nurses team they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I'm really pleased your mum is in remission and I hope this continues for many more years to come.

    Best wishes to you both,
