I'm so pleased to hear you're cancer free Meme123 although I'm very sorry about the pain and mobility issues you're having.

I hope you can take some reassurance from what your consultant has told you but if you're still concerned do be sure to keep them and your GP informed so that can keep an eye on this and if necessary, carry out further investigations. You could try getting a second opinion as well.

Pelvic radiotherapy is really tough and the after effects can be long lasting. I also had stage 2 cervical cancer, but major surgery in addition to the chemo radiation. My mobility is not good either-I can’t stand for long or walk very far but I’m not at the same level of pain as you unfortunately are. The radiation can cause small bone fractures, so I wondered if you’d been offered a bone scan? It can also cause general bone deterioration in the area. I’m sorry you are struggling and hope that things can improve for you.
