Hi, has any experienced having an esophageal stent? My mum has one booked for next Tuesday and she is terrified. Any information/reassurance would be greatfuly received. Thank you
I'm sorry to hear that your Mum is waiting to have an oesophageal stent fitted next week. It's understandable that she's feeling anxious about things.

We do have quite a few members here in the community who have experience with this diagnosis and I'd suggest looking at this thread and this thread. I'm sure that if you post a message on one or both of those threads you'll get a reply from others who can share their experiences with you.

just thought I would message to see how your mum got on with the stent? My dad has just had one fitted today as he has been unable to eat for a while now and it got to the point he couldn't even take a sip of water without throwing up constantly.
it would be nice to hear how it went with your mum if that's ok to ask?
