Tamoxifen or Anastrazole

Hi,

I too, like many of you on this cancer treatment for oestrogen positive breast cancer, are facing the dilemma of the 5-10 years hormone treatment to prevent recurrence. I have been taking Anastrazole for nearly a year since masectomy, chemo and radiotherapy. I recently saw my Consultant as very fatigued. I was advised to stop medication for 6 weeks to see if it made a difference to how I was feeling. I did get occasional joint aches and stiffness on Anastrazole, but there wasn't much difference in the fatigue and I do find sleep patterns haven't changed much, still many interrupted nights sleep. I was offered Tamoxifen instead but have heard negative reports of side effects from that too. Is anyone doing better on Tamoxifen than  Anastrazole? I would be interested to hear .
