I recently had chart radiotherapy for a recurrence of lung cancer ( 36 treatments) . I have now received my scan date and the anxiety has already started. How soon after my scan will I be told the results?
I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had a recurrence of lung cancer. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about your upcoming post-treatment scan. I think most of our members here will understand that scanxiety is real and we know that waiting for tests and results can be a really difficult time.
Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for the results. Most people seem to have news within a couple of weeks but it may be worth asking when you go for the scan how long it will take for the results.
