When I had radiotherapy which is almost a year ago now, the worst side effect I had was yet another knock in the fatigue department!!! Apart from that, to be honest it was bliss to get treatment that involved no needles being poked into you on the worry of what was to come side effects wise. They may well have a lovely picture of cherry blossom above you that is actually mostly quite calming. It's peaceful to lay there and think that the worst of the treatment is done and that the radiotherapy is just another way they try to avoid reoccurrence. The only other downside is that personally for me I found myself sometimes running away with my thoughts and would end up just bursting into tears at the end of a session! I know that may all sound contradictory but hey, this is cancer and your emotions can go one way then another in a split second!
As for any side effects re sore skin, epimax is great! You can get a bit itchy and I found this stuff to be quite soothing.
