  • Hello Leguina

I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with some side effects of your treatment. Please do get in touch with your GP, Consultant or Clinical Nurse Specialist as there are medications that can be prescribed to help with this.

They may also be able to suggest a mouthwash to help or arrange for you to have a nebuliser that you can use before bed to help with your sleep. I know that a number of members here who have had radiotherapy for head and neck cancer have mentioned using a nebuliser and how helpful it was.

If you'd like to speak to one of our nurses for some advice do give them a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

I hope this helps and that things improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
