Hi, I'm new to this forum but thought I would reach out as for the first time since my journey started I am worried. My story is that I had a colonoscopy in June 2019 everything was clear then started irregular bleeding AGAIN in Jan 20 so started going to see my GP. Dr started treating me for haemorrhoids it got worse every month I had a lump here a lump there I had a growth but was still told it was haemorrhoids by then the dreaded COVID hit and they said I had to wait to be referred. Anyway it was 10 visits later and a different dr that examined me to actually say that's not a pile it wasn't even the same symptoms I was then referred in Jun/July when they confirmed it was cancer. I was then informed that the cancer had actually grown through my vaginal wall and possibly into my lymph nodes so before treatment began I had to undergo surgery for a colostomy (stoma) chemoradiotherapy began my last treatment day was 16th Oct. I have since returned due to further changes and found that yeah it's shrunk but it's on the move again. I am now looking at salvage surgery the good thing is that it hasn't spread to any major organs but its a massive worry as I'm now waiting for the surgeons and specialists to get my MRI results from Thursday for them to map my lymph nodes I'm in panick stage as the longer I wait the more risk of it going somewhere else.
I'm sorry for the long post but wonder if anyone else has gone through anything like this before where it's spread to the lymph nodes and come out the other end ......... I'm only 46!!
