I wouldn't over think it, lots have a full body scan to get the whole picture ... I'd feel more happier knowing they were getting the full pic and know exactly the way forward ...

So try not to over worry ... though think we all do ... Chrissie......

Thank you.  It was just a bit of a shock as we thought after the surgery it was then just the radiation xx

I had my masectomy in 2017 ... what I've learned from my journey, is go with the flow ... it's a rollercoaster of emotions.... but take each day as it comes, and as long as she's got your hand to hold, she'll get there ...  when I came on here, scared of the unknown, l started chatting to 6 others starting their journey with breast cancer too ... wer all still standing .. so hold on .. one day at a time ...

sorry to hear about your mum's condition. My friend of a similar age had the same post investigations. She had to check her bone density because some hormonal tablets could lead to further osteoporosis. Does your mum have this condition or early onset? Might be something like this so it's probably to check and then prescribe the right drugs for your mum.

Hello Chriss,

My friend in the same age bracket had the same thing. This was to check for signs of osteoporosis so they give her the correct hormone therapy drugs and also to up her calcium intake. 
Does your mum have early signs of bone troubles or maybe they just want to rule this out so the right drugs are given to you mum :)

Yes the drugs are supposed to cause brittle bones.  Could just be checking then before they begin?
