Allergan Textured Implants

Hi Everyone-Have read some of your posts regarding cancer and also bia-alcl. My heart goes out to any of you who have suffered from these illnesses or are suffering now.

I am fighting a losing battle up here in the North East of Scotland trying to get the CD30 test. I wrote to my Doctors surgery in 2019 indicating I wished to have this test. I was told that there was nothing in my yearly general blood test to indicate I had BIA-ALCL.

My question is: Can a physician rule out BIA-ALCL from an ordinary blood test eg are there indicators in a normal blood test that you don't have it?

I've suffered all sorts of pains in right breast since having Allergan Textured implants inserted during a bi-lateral op for 4 cancerous tumours in Nov 2011 - 6 months after the Mhra were supposed to have written to plastic surgeons and Surgeries etc warning them of the possibility of Breast Implant Associated-Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) caused by texturised implants (Allergan implants in my case) . I only knew of this problem on watching a Channel 4 report on the issue of Allergan implants 3 years ago. I was in total shock. Then I found out Leigh Day solicitors, London have over 200 women suing. Having done much research I've discussed the issue with my surgeon (who is lovely to chat to but I had to seriously fight my corner in order to try to arrange to get implants removed). OK he eventually put me on the waiting list for removal (which was cancelled in Nov 20 because of urgent cancer operations), but on requesting CD30 test from my surgery well over a Yr ago it's been completely ignored.

The pain is much worse now all over right breast like spasms and feels hot but often cold to touch, is slightly puffy/swollen and with a squarish pad shaped lump between skin and implant that a Dr who performed an ultrasound scan said "it was just a lipoma". So no other test has been done since 2019.I am ill just now with shingles. The rash is running along from the position underneath my arm where my lymph node was removed during 2011 op, and runs around onto my rt breast. It is not on my back just from the side underarm to breast. Anyone else had 'shingles' with problematic implants?

Hoping you are all reasonably well/coping at this time.

Take care
