Hi thanks so much for replying I had last surgery 3 years ago with roof top cut I've another met there ... I may have ablation if surgeon agrees but otherwise same op ... did they cut straight through your last scar and how did you cope second time ?

I was fine until epidural wore off but kept walking the ward and was home after 4 days do you still have scans to check your ok ?

I found the second surgery was a lot easier to recover from. Maybe because I knew what to expect or I had a better surgeon second time round. 
I was home after 4 days and took painkillers for a few weeks. 
I have also had ablation.. which worked well and the tumours that were ablated have never returned. 
I still have scans every 6 months but apart from that I live a fairly normal life. 

Oh thank you that's so good to know yes that's very true we know what to expect !!! I won't know for a few weeks what they have decided but I have put forward I'd like ablation ... I think that's up to them so I'll go with whatever they decide. Am gutted after 3 years it's there again I've also got a small one on my lung which again I've asked to be ablated!! Not asking for much ... !! 
So pleased your well shows how we can live with it... I had chemo after liver resection did you?
