Hi everyone has anyone had their para aortic lymph nodes removed. I was diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer September 18. I have had a recurrence in the 3 lymph nodes Infront of lumber one being the para aiirtic lymph node.

I'm sorry about your recurrence but fingers crossed it won't be long until the nodes in this area are removed.

Hi yes I have. Spread from liver cancer. It was a major surgery due to the location but I was out of hospital after 4/5 days. Surgery was 10 years ago and the cancer hasn't come back in my lymph nodes. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
No I've not had a transplant but my surgeon is one of the transplant surgeons there. Yes it's at the one beginning with A . Transplant surgeons are usually the most skilled. He's also done one of my liver resections as well.
I went there after my first surgery as I wasn't happy with the original hospital. My first reoccurrence was diagnosed there. Yes he's still there. He's operated on me twice now and I'm quite confident if I need surgery again he would be the one to do it.
