Hi,
Is it unusual to find residual cancer in lymph nodes AFTER neoadjuvant chemo?
I've posted on a few forums but just seem to get replies regarding positive lymph nodes found in pathology from surgery that's had BEFORE chemo.
My mum underwent neoadjuvant chemo for triple negative and then had surgery. Pathology showed 20% residual cancer left in tumour and still active cancer in 4 out of 18 lymph nodes.
I cannot find anyone else with has had a similar result and this leaves me fearful for the future, as TNBC does not have great survival rates to begin with.
Thanks x
