Chemo tips/advice.

Hi,

Could anyone help advise of your experiences whilst on Epirubicin/ Cyclophosphamide combo, I will be starting 3 cycles of this regime shortly

I have a serious vomiting phobia and have discussed this with oncologist, he reiterated that anti nausea meds are given pre infusion along with meds to take home but I am really anxious about the journey home, any advice would be much appreciated.

I had 4 cycles of chemo and was lucky not to suffer with vomiting as I hate it as well, I did suffer from nausia and have been through more medical intrusions than any 1 person should, I did start to have an anxiety attack when I was being put under and this affected the way I came back and at this point I mae the decision that as I have to go many things I needed to find a way to deal with it.
I used a technique called "tapping" to help me focus and remain calm, no matter what is being done to me.
Good luck the nausia will pass.

I had 6 months of chemo, not the same as yours though. I had no vomiting, had the nausea for 10 days every time. Anti sickness didn't work for me. They are fabulous, and try and help with all symptoms. Don't suffer in silence.
