I was due to have my ileostomy reversal 3 months after rectal cancer surgery but an X-ray enema showed a leak and the join hasn’t healed properly, so I have to wait another 3 months and try again. I wasn’t told this could happen so I’m guessing it’s not common. I’m worried it might never heal and I’ll have to have the stoma permanently. Has anyone else had experience of this? Thank you
