There is no reason why you can't colour your hair before you begin chemotherapy, but you may want to consider whether or not it is the best option. Unless you are using a home colour kit then obviously it is an expensive thing to do if your treatment is due to start quite soon. There is also a risk that the chemicals in the hair dye can make your hair weaker which could contribute to the chances of hair loss. Also remember that you won't be able to colour your hair during treatment or as soon as it starts growing back and your new hair maybe a completely different colour.

Many people opt for having a shorter hair cut before starting chemotherapy in order to minimise the impact of losing their hair during treatment and make it easier to manage.
