What a heart breaking title!

my mum has a lymphoma, and having chemo, my father in law has been given less than a year too due to cancer returning.

we are heartbroken... however I'm determined to make the most for our 3 year old son who is very close to both grandparents!

I lost my best friend to meningitis 5 years ago and her boys did a few things before the machine was turned off.

does anyone have any advise to help build memories, keepsakes while there's time?

I'm so sorry to hear that both your Mum and Father in law are currently dealing with cancer. I can understand that it's a very difficult time for you all.
We have a little bit of information that may give you some suggestions about ideas for leaving memories on our website here. Something additional that you may want to think about is making a memory scrapbook; something that your son can have as he gets a little older.
You might find it helpful to have a look through this section on our website about supporting children. I'd also suggest having a look at the Winston's Wish website where I'm sure you'll find some further ideas and information.
