Hi there - I also have the same as you several times a day where I get the spasm which takes my breath away. I've been trying some diaphragmatic breathing techniques which helped to a degree but the spasms still occurring but probably a little less often. My doctor didn't offer me any help, just said 'oh it's probably your diaphragm' so I had to find a physiotherapist who specialises in breathing techniques. Seems we probably just need to learn to live with this although it can be difficult at times. Good luck
