How have your energy levels been post chemo? Struggling atm

Hi I was diagnosed with BC a week before lockdown. I had a lumpectomy and full auxillary clearance in April. This was followed by 6 cycles of EC-T I had the last cycle 3 weeks ago. I was thinking by now I would be full of energy and ready to fight the world, however this has been far from the reality. My mouth is still vile, my legs and arms feel like lead and I'm worn out doing simple tasks, last week I managed to walk 7.5miles on Monday and Tuesday then dipped. I just wondered about others level of energy post last chemo. Am I expecting too much too soon?  I have 4 weeks of radiotherapy coming soon.

  • Thank you, I do know this but it's hard sometimes so it's nice to read it from someone else. I ran the great North run and was a keen cyclist in the recent past, I'll get back there again one day. Lile you say glad to be alive despite the side effects.

Generally I am very positive but like you say we all fall from the Happy place every now and then. Take care and thank you.

    Sallie
