Hi all,
If anyone on this forum has any experience with this please let me know.
I was diagnosed with stage 1 tongue cancer in January 2020 and had 2 surgery's to remove the left side of my tongue. Healing and recovery was tough, I couldn't eat, swallow or speak properly for about a month, (I lost about a stone and a half).
I am now 9 months post surgery and speech therapy has done wonders, but I keep getting blood blisters re occuring in the the scar tissue along the side of my tongue? They blow up randomly to quite a size then after a few days go down. There seems to be no pattern or trigger. I keep going back to my surgeon as they are painful and sore and they biopsied one which came back as standard inflammation. They do not seem to know what's causing them or why. They said they are not ulcers but not sure what they are.
It's getting me down as I am sure it's not normal but have been offered no treatment. Do you think it could just be the healing process and that it may stop? Has anybody else experienced this?
many thanks
