Hi Guys
My mum is in her 70s and currently recovering from
a lobectomy for what I believe is a small 1.2cm tumour - Stage 1 as far as I know .
The American Cancer website has the 5 year survival rate as between 73 and 92 based on if it's stage A1, A2 or A3 - That seems reasonable.
What concerns me is the statistics on the Cancer U.K. website which states
Stage 1
Around 35 out of 100 people (around 35%) will survive their cancer for 5 years or more after diagnosis.
How is one set of survival rates almost double the other for the same stage .... And yes I have checked and this is like for like staging .
