TBNC bone and now brain mets

Hi

I posted a while back to say the I had just been diagnosed with advanced TNBC bone mets. Today I have learnt I have a secondary on my brain. It's one lesion and very small but feeling very anxious at what the road may look like.

I would be very grateful for any experience that anyone else may have to help me understand what could be ahead in treatment and life.

I am 44 with two children and feeling so very sad. I have tried to be positive since November but each time I have a scan something else comes back.

look forward to hearing from you.

thank you so much

  • Hello KAR32,

I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis and that they have recently found bone and brain mets. It must be a lot to take in for you right now not knowing too what lies ahead. I hope you find out soon what the treatment options are. There is information on our website on triple negative breast cancer which you can read here and which I hope will be helpful to you.

I just wanted you to know that you are not alone and that many ladies on our forum have had a similar diagnosis. Some like [@Helpplease]on this thread will also understand how you are feeling having to deal with this with young children. We have a really active thread full of ladies who have had a TNBC diagnosis and I'm sure that if you post on this thread and introduce yourself they will be very welcoming. It does help to talk to others who have been in a similar place  and I hope that you will soon be chatting with some of our members who understand how you are feeling at the moment.

Don't hesitate also to give our nurses a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have at the moment. We're all here for you anytime you need to talk to someone.

    Best wishes,
