Morning. I got the results of my mastectomy and axillary clearance last Friday. Confirmed grade 3 infiltrating ductal carcinoma, ER positive, Her2 negative and 6/11 lymph nodes positive. All margins clear and it's gone! I had 20 weeks of chemo prior to surgery and will shortly be starting 15 sessions of radiotherapy. I started taking Letrozole on Saturday, which I'll be on for 10 years. Feel a little nauseous after taking it, but hopefully this will wear off in time.
i had 400 ml fluid drained at my appointment. I didn't have any symptoms of seroma, just looked as if I still had a breast! Felt a lot better afterwards, but unfortunately has started to fill up again so going back to breast clinic tomorrow to have some more drained.
I am feeling positive with my results, I know there is a risk of recurrence, but hopefully that won't happen. Just need to get rid of this swelling and complete radiotherapy, then maybe life can get back to some normality.
