Peach fuzz

Hi,

I've recently finished ABVD chemo for Hodgkins Lymphoma and my hair is growing back well. Especially my facial hair! It has come back with a vengeance!

Thankfully it is only peach fuzz so very fair, but so thick and quite long!!

I was wondering what people have done to get rid of theirs as I am really worried whatever I do that they will grow back and my face will feel prickly!

  • Hi Rox83

I'm glad to hear that you've completed your treatment. I hope that you're feeling well.

It's good to know that your hair is growing back well. It's obviously an area of concern for lots of ladies and chemo can change how hair grows back. Understandably though the peach fuzz might be something you'd rather wasn't growing back!

Hopefully some of the membesr who have had similar issues might respond to your post to share their tips but I wondered if it was worth you having a chat with a local beautician who may be able to offer you some advice about hair removal options and reassurance that it won't grow back thicker or darker.

    Best wishes,

  • i had non hodgkin's lymphoma and the same chemo and i've had exactly the same problem. you can buy face razors you can get them off ebay for like £2. i guess they'd help as i've seen videos of people with normal peach fuzz that use it haha, not sure why this happens but yeah just in case you thought it was just you i thought i'd reply
