Immunotherapy for lung cancer that has spread.

My relative has just been diagnosed with lung cancer that has spread to his spine stomach kidney and hip. He is really suffering at the moment lots of pain and can't eat always feeling sick. He is going to have one dose of radiotherapy i believe to his spine to try and help that but has also been offered immunotherapy. The trouble is they gave him a long list of side effects and wouldn't speak to whether it would be worth going through.

So for those of you who have experience with immunotherapy has it improved the quality of life to a degree that it was worth the side effects?

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, Boo25.

I’m sorry to hear about your relative’s situation.

Hopefully, other forum members who have gone through the same experience will stop by soon to offer advice.

The other thing I wanted to mention is that we have some information on our website about lung cancer which you can read here. I hope this can be of some help.

With best wishes to you both,
