I had stage one cancer in my throat five years ago and underwent radiotherapy and two doses of cistaplan chemo. I didn’t suffer many side effects at the time but last Christmas I started to get earache in my left ear which is getting worse by the day and now paracetamol is not really touching the pain. The ENT consultant thinks it’s from the stiffness I am now experiencing in my neck and shoulder. No-one seems to be too concerned. Meanwhile I’m in a lot of pain for most of the time. I do stretching exercises every day, especially for my neck, arms and shoulders. Also my jaw is now starting to stiffen up. I’m hoping this pain in my ear, neck and jaw will subside a bit but no one l have seen at the doctors or hospital seem to know one way or the other. 

if you have just finished radiotherapy treatment I would do the recommended exercises daily as soon as you can post-treatment.
