Hi
Im 49 and 2 weeks post op following a mastectomy to remove a very large lobular breast cancer. I had been told I was stage 2 but following my post op results today, I learnt it is now grade 3 as its spread into my Lymph nodes.
Ive been advised I will need an anc which has been booked if for 4 weeks time and wondered if anyone else has had this and what I should expect. Im in complete shock and disbelief as my ultrasound and MRI both showed it hadnt spread.
Ive also been referred for a CT scan which Im waiting on a date. To say the least, Im petrified! Is it normal to get a CT scan or do they think theres a good chance its spread further>
Due to Covid, my biopsies have been sent for the Oncotype test and my results on the recurrance was very low and Chemo wouldnt be suitable. Its now been suggested I may have to go back to speak to my Oncologist to discuss again. Does this mean they think it has spread? I know they dont hold anything back and will be up front and honest but Im trying to read into things and the not knowing is a nightmare!
I just wondered if anyone has had similar treatments? Would love to help and any advice on how to cope with things as Im trying to stay strong for my husband and young family.
xx
