Essential thrombocythaemia - so much pain in knees & ankles

Any suggestions I'm really in so much pain with knees and ankles I have et jak2 pos am on hydrea and Asprin I do have osteoarthritis in knees but this has been going on for weeks now nearly three months ago dr gave me injections in knees which helped a lot but now has worn off am waiting for blood test results re plates 

  • I'm sorry you're still having so much trouble with the knee and ankle pain Bar. It must be very frustrating.

    I'm sure you're doing this already but do keep your doctor in the loop if the injections have worn off and the pain is becoming unmanageable again as they are in the best position to offer solutions (maybe the injections again if possible) and advice.

    Hopefully some of our E.T members who have experiences similar to your own will offer their thoughts and advice to you soon but you're welcome to discuss this with one of our cancer nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m as well.
