Hi all i am new to chat , i have been now taking my chemo tabz for 4 weeks as i have essential thrombocytosis. My question is side effects or the condition. Very thirsty, pounding headache. Hot flushes... kind regards Theresa
Welcome to our forum. I haven't had chemo, but I notice that the advice given to cope with it is always to drink plenty. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer and have suffered with a persistant dry mouth due to medication. I could drink Loch Lomond dry and, I am never able to appease my thirst.
I wonder if your headache may be partly due to dehydration? Another good reason for listening to your body.
Bear with the side-effects if you can. It doesn't last forever.
