Bra - post surgery

Hello

I have been advised that after surgery - I've having a cancerous lump removed - non wired sports bras are best to wear.  I am a 32G usually and get bras from Bravissimo but they don't have much choice in non wired.  I've looked at M&S and they nothing above E cup.   Wondered if anyone has advice on where would be good to get a comfy supportive bra post surgery?

thanks

M

  • Hello Marym007

There are quite a few specialist companies that sell post surgery bras which can be quite expensive but if you're having a lumpectomy and will not be wearing a prosthesis you might prefer to wear a supportive front fastening sports bra instead.

There is some useful informationon the Breast Cancer Now website which I've linked for you here

    Best wishes for your surgery,

  • Thanks for the info Jenn.  I've ordered some non wired comfy looking bras on line and hopefully they will be good fit - if not I'll just send them back!   I'm not now having the lump removed soon as found out today that it is Grade 3 breast cancer and I will need to have chemo prior to lump being removed.  All bit of a shock still but hopefully I'll have nice bras anyway!
