Nerve damage pain from microwave ablation - anyone had this?

Hi having had 2 thorocotamy opps one to remove top half of left lung (3 years ago) and one to remove a wedge section ( last year) this year on finding another spot it was decided that microwave Ablation would be safer due to the pandemic. This was done 4 weeks ago however I am getting a lot of nerve pain, I suppose being a much smaller procedure I did not expect this. Just wondered if anyone else had had microwave ablation . Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Nanniespain

Hopefully if we've any other members who have experience with microwave ablation they will post to share their experiences with you.

Have you spoken to your GP or the hospital team about the pain? Hopefully things will settle over the coming weeks as you continue healing but do let someone know if you're finding it hard to manage the pain levels.

    Best wishes,
