  • Hello ALFIE1,

I hope you will meet others on the forum who have been diagnosed with NSCLC and will be able to tell you more about the effects of weight gain. This is something you could also discuss with your specialist when you next have an appointment. I am sorry to hear that the position of the cancer has meant that an operation has not been possible but it's great news that all past scans have shown no further growth - I am keeping everything crossed that the scan and blood results you are waiting for will be good. Keep us updated if you get a chance!

Feel free also to give our nurses a call if you want to talk about weight gain with them or have any other questions in mind. You can give them a ring on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm

I will now let our members come and say hello and share their experiences with you.

    Best wishes,
