Oral chemo

Hi, I have been having treatment for secondary cancer for five years, hormone treatment , Denosumab for bones, then Ribociclib and Fulvestrant  injections.. I had a skin reaction to Ribociclib and had to stop it but my last scan  showed the cancer was still progressing anyway. I am now taking Xeloda ( capecitabine) 4 tablets twice a day.. Wonder if anyone else is on this medication and how they find it.  Am not feeling too great , it's palliative not curable so I wonder whether to continue with it. Be interested to know how other people have got on with this treatment . Eileen

  • Hello Eileenp

Sorry to hear that you're struggling with some side effects of your treatment. I noticed that [@GypsyCaravan]‍ has posted here today about some issues that they have been having.

If you use the search function (magnifying glass in the blue bar at the top of the page) to search for the term "capecitabine" you'll find lots of posts where people have mentioned the drug.

If you'd like to speak to one of our nurses about your concerns then you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm).

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
