I have stage 1b2 cervical cancer. Just finished treatment last wk.

Before I started chemo I had an treatment plan assessment with my oncologist. This was 3 wks before treatment started. 

Then the Friday before starting chemo on the Monday I had a meeting with the chemo nursing team. They ask you pretreatment questions like allergies etc and they draw blood. This was to check things like white blood cell count etc. For me they did this assessment and blood test every Friday before chemo on Monday. 
 

I obviously don't know if this is the same for you, but it does sound like a normal practice talking to other women with gyno cancers.
