I was on tamoxifen for 9 months and did experience side effects after taking it for a couple of months but a lot of women don't have any side effects. I wouldn't be worried about taking it as if you do get side effects you could try different brands to see if that would help.
I got mood swings early on .. no one told me about them... I went from really fine to crying over everything ... I wish someone had told me .. I'd have known what was happening and understood it better ... then was o.k for a while ... then got pain in bones and joints really bad ...there have been quite a few with different side effects from it ..
I'd say, do your homework .. think about the ups and downs .... maybe try it and see how you go .. you could be someone who sails through .. and if it gets too much you can discuss with your team ..
