cancer of the oesophagus - any positive stories out there?

Hi My husband has throat cancer 10 years ago and has been fine all that time. He has now been told he has cancer of the oesophagus which is very high up (C6 T1 area). He cannot have surgery as it is to high up or a stent, he cannot have radiotherapy again as it is to near the last cancer. He can have chemotherapy but cannot start for 4 - 6 weeks because of the coronavirus situation. He hasn't been able to eat anything since before Xmas and it has taken so long to get to the point that they said it is cancer. He has lost 4 stone in weight he now has a feeding tube up his nose. I am trying to read into all sorts of things to see if there is any hope of him surviving this but outcome doesn't look good. Any positives would be good news.
