I'm on my 3rd primary cancer, how unusual is this?

Sorry I cant reply to what the mod or Crissy wrote- it shows an error, so just delete the post please?

  • Hi Ade.M,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to read what you're going through at the moment, added to what you've been through previously. It sounds incredibly tough.

It certainly sounds unusual although I'm unable to really advise on this - the best thing would be to speak to your doctor or medical specialist to find out more.

In the meantime I just wanted to wish you all the best for your upcoming treatment. Do use this forum for support as much as you want at any point.

  • I have been diagnosed with two primary cancers one in my kidneys which I had removed in December 2019,the other in breast which I had a mastectomy in march  2020. My surgeons said I have a secondary somewhere else just waiting for results to see where. It is looking as though it is in my lungs. I was told it is quite rare  to have two primary at the same time.  Is this correct.
