Every pain feels like relapse!

I know it's normal to feel concern after being told you're in remission, the constant hanger over of it coming back. Does anyone have any tips to deal with the anxiety? I've been put on a waitlist for CBT but might be a while aways yet.

Also my first checkup since remission is booked for may and I have the feeling it'll be cancelled due to covid, I certainly can't see them letting me have bloods done, and if it's a telephone call I worry there won't be that physical examination aspect.

My cancer pain originally started as pain in my groin. I've got twinges in the general area but not the same place, but am on my period and have no idea if it's that or something else. It's only been going on two days, how long do I wait to / should I contact my specialist team?

  • It's good you're seeking help with your anxiety Rose but I'm sure it must be a tad frustrating knowing it may be a while until you can receive your CBT. I hope the information and advice given on the Anxiety UK website will help in the meantime but I'm sure some of our members who have been through this will offer their tips and advice to you soon as well.

Stay safe Rose and I hope that your first checkup since remission is able to go ahead.
