My treatment received by 3 weekly infusion has been suspended. I had a tel call from Consultant and was advised more dangerous to risk Cv by regular hospital visits for treatment than to take break.

They will be in touch with me again in June but I can call in between if necessary.

Not too good as I am also shielded so a bit too much time to dwell on it all.

The decision to suspend treatment was not a discussion but was something I was told would be happening.

On the bright side they can resume treatment with same drug when start again as they have been advised this will still be funded whereas in past could not have break and then return to same treatment.

If your mum has not heard from her Consultant perhaps calling them might clarify her situation.
