New

I was diagnosed with secondary liver cancer with unknown primary 2 years ago, I finished my chemo treatment in September 2019,  I responded to the treatment at first but after 3 months it returned and now I have the option of more chemo or leaving things as they are, I have been suffering from fatigue and exhaustion which I am being treated for. My concern is that my stomach is getting bigger and uncomfortable, I thought it was a build up of fluid but after my latest scan showed no signs of any fluid. I feel so alone and emotional. My Oncologist rang me 10 days ago to inform me that  obviously there is no treatment at the moment. I just wish that there was someone I could communicate with who is going through the same, I do not know of any person who is experiencing the same symptoms or has liver cancer, in fact I have never even spoken to a person with cancer. I feel I am in a very lonely place. I am lucky to have a very supportive husband.

  • Hi Madrina,

I'm sorry to read what you're going through at the moment - I can only imagine how unsettling this must be. It's good to hear you have a supportive husband.

It's always useful to speak to others, and particularly to others with similar experience, so hopefully this forum can be a helpful outlet for you. I would encourage you to browse or search the forum (using the button in the blue bar above) to look for other relevant discussions, and perhaps to join in a few of the other threads as well. There are a lot of understanding and welcoming people here.

Otherwise hopefully you'll receive further replies to your post soon.

    Wishing you all the best,
