I had my 3rd cycle of FEC chemo for breast cancer on Monday and now, 5 days later the sore throat I have had has got worse. I now have white spots inside my gums and along my tongue. Difficult to talk or swallow. Chemo nurse said use mouthwashes and as long as my temperature is fine, I don't need other treatment. Cleaning my teeth using mouthwashes, saline solution, saliva gel, bonjela what else can I throw at it? 
I only had a sore mouth on my 3rd week of chemo and this is the 1st week. Anyone else had this?
