Chemo and Corona Virus

I am worried, I am in the highest risk for the Corona Virus. Going to the hospital on Monday for my 3rd chemo session.

Self isolating and not seeing any family or friends at home, although my partner is going out to work and shopping, but being extra careful. Staying in as much as possible.

Sun is coming out tomorrow so I'm gardening, safest place.

  • Hello Silverdays,

These are worrying times and I am thinking of all the people who currently find themselves in your situation having to have treatment whilst at the same time needing to be extremely careful.

I hope your chemotherapy session goes well tomorrow. I will be thinking of you. Do ring the hospital if you want to make sure the session is still going ahead as planned as things are moving and changing so fast at the moment.

I think you are totally doing the right thing in self-isolating as much as possible and not seeing anyone even though it must be so hard. I am glad though that your partner is getting the shopping sorted for you and being very careful.

The garden will be a safe haven for you and I am planning to do the same - spend as much time in the garden as possible and planting a few seeds...

    Best of luck for tomorrow,

  • Thank you. I phoned the Oncology Day unit today as the Government guidelines about cancelling chemo is not very clear. My treatments will go ahead unless contacted by the unit.
