Hi Hapsy, sorry you're having a rough ride. It does get better.
I had a left parietal tumour, had it cut out and the bed irradiated. That was about two years ago. The mental symptoms were well weird, especially at first, like I could think things but couldn't say the words that were in my head and had to say something else instead. Totally frustrating, and I couldn't even communicate my problem.
My consultant reckoned I was pretty much back to normal after six months. After a year he reckoned it was ok for me to reapply for my driving licence. After eighteen months I started to believe "I'm back again" for real. The brain does re-wire itself, but it does take a long time. How long that'll be will depend on how much damage you need to recover from and how many mental hoops you make yourself jump through to force the rewiring. It's hard but it's doable.
Keep on keeping on.
Steve
